Control notifications and Advisor check-ins

Check this device, choose notification categories, and review recent outcomes.

Step by step

Check the device status above the category switches. Turn on requests permission, Open settings opens the phone settings when permission is blocked, and Try again retries registration. After you re-enable notifications in phone settings—or reconnect after being offline—return to Neville so this device can register itself again.

Notifications from Neville is the master switch. Turn it off to stop Neville notifications, including reminders you have set.

Choose Advisor check-ins, Practice reminders, Progress & achievements, and Tips & app updates. Streak-at-risk reminders belong to Progress & achievements.

Set Quiet hours with an on/off switch and start/end times. These saved times apply across your account, including changes made from Advisor settings in an older app version. Reminders you schedule yourself keep the time you chose, including during quiet hours.

Confirm your timezone in the Timezone picker. It controls both reminder times and which calendar day counts as “today” for your streak. Neville fills it in from your device automatically — marked Detected automatically or Estimated — until you choose one yourself; your own choice is always kept. Older accounts are synchronized once from the device the next time the app connects. If reminders cannot be scheduled because no timezone is known, a Choose your timezone notice appears above Quiet hours. If the app later notices a different device timezone, choose Use device timezone or keep the existing timezone; it does not move a timezone you chose yourself.

Open Recent notifications to review the latest 20 attempts and whether they were delivered, held back, missed, or could not be delivered.

A day-five Sabbath notice says “Two days left. Rest is part of the work.” It is a reminder of your chosen rest period. A streak-at-risk notice shows your current day count and opens Practice; it belongs to Progress & achievements.

Under Neville Advisor, choose a fixed check-in time or time window, frequency, and preferred techniques when available on your plan.
